Dr. Mohlenbrock followed his medical school and internship educations by entering the US Naval Aerospace Medical Institute where he trained as a squadron Flight Surgeon. He was subsequently assigned to serve onboard the aircraft carrier, USS Yorktown, which deployed to the Sea of Japan during the Pueblo Incident and participated in operations off North Vietnam. After his honorable discharge from the Navy, Dr. Mohlenbrock completed an orthopedic residency at the University of California, San Diego where he has served as assistant clinical professor since 1973. Dr. Mohlenbrock has practiced orthopedic surgery for more than 25 years at Scripps Memorial Hospital in La Jolla, CA.

During a span of 30 years as a healthcare executive, Thomas Kish has acquired a broad range of experience. In fact, more than half of his professional life has been spent as a hospital CEO. Thomas has acted as CEO for a wide array of hospitals – large and small, urban and rural, as well as teaching and community hospitals. Thomas has a solid record focusing on strategic growth, quality outcomes and financial sustainability in a diverse assortment of hospital settings.

Dr. Styles has more than 30 years of experience in healthcare administration, hospital and physician practice operations improvement, and change management. His career has included direct patient care, middle management and as CEO/COO for hospital/physician practices.  At Verras, he has lead in the development of our clinical variation tools to identify resource consumptions, CPOE customization and strategies for future global payment systems.

Mr. Authier has over 30 years of experience in top nursing and healthcare leadership. He has worked as a Chief Nursing Officer, Chief Operating Officer, Hospital Administrator, and Vice President of Patient Care. In addition to these operating roles, Mr. Authier has over 6 years of experience providing healthcare consulting services in the areas of organizational culture, leadership development, coaching, and effective communications.   At Verras, he has lead in the use and effective implementation of our clinical variation tools to identify resource consumptions; working with physicians and leadership to identify and implement process change, and establish ongoing monitors to evaluate improvement.

Ms. Shiparski has over 30 years of experience in nursing and healthcare leadership positions. She has worked in various roles including: critical care nurse, clinical hospital management, executive of a healthcare consulting business, and as a corporate business executive in a healthcare technology and clinical practice company. Ms Shiparski has worked with community hospitals and large health systems in the United States and Canada.   As a Senior Vice President at Verras, she has co-developed and used  our clinical variation tools to identify resource consumptions; work with physicians and leadership to identify and implement process change, and establish ongoing monitors to evaluate improvement.

Over the course of 25 years in healthcare, Dan Woods has acquired a broad array of senior level leadership experiences and industry expertise. His progressive operational and strategic success in complex and competitive academic medical center environments has allowed him to develop a reputation as an industry leader.  At Verras, he has lead client engagements to identify clinical practice variation and the consumption of resources by service lines, disease categories and providers.  Creating an environment of collaboration between the hospital and physicians, Woods has provided oversight for the implementation of physician defined best practices that have improved patient care quality metrics through a lower cost structure.

Mr. Breen has more than 18 years of IT experience with 13 years specifically focused on the healthcare sector. He has an extensive background in software development and systems engineering. His experience includes processing of hospital and clinical data sets, patient satisfaction survey data collection, and patient record dictation processing within the physician office. He obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science from the University of California at Davis.Mr. Breen has completed numerous training courses and earned several certifications, including HL7 V3 RIM R1 Specialist.

Ms. Ortiz joined Verras in 2002 as an Office Administrator. Since joining the company her responsibilities have been progressively expanded and she now holds the title of Director of Operations.  Her duties include managing all the day-to-day activities of the Company, including accounting, contracts, and client/vendor administration.

Mr. Hong started with Verras in 1996. He has 14 years of IT experience as a software engineer specializing in developing programs for use at client sites as well as for internal company use. He has extensive experience with data structures and algorithms, statistical analysis, operating systems and computer programming.  He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from UC Davis in Computer Science. Mr. Hong has earned HL7 V2.5/V2.6 Specialist certification.
